We are seeking to appoint a Registered Care Manager to head our Care Agency which provides care and support to around 30 young adults with learning difficulties and other complex needs, who live in shared properties at two locations, either on our College campus at Much Hadham or in local flats just ten minutes drive away in Bishops Stortford. The College care service currently employs over 60 staff providing care and support at the two locations on a 24hour / 52 week basis.

Reporting in to the Director of Adult Care Services, who oversees all our adult care services, you will be responsible for ensuring that our College students receive excellent care and are appropriately supported to help maximise their independent living skills. You will also be part of the College Leadership Team.

You will need to bring:

  • A Registered Managers Award / relevant min. NVQ4 and a commitment to CPD
  • A proven care and managerial track record within a registered residential setting
  • Experience of managing and implementing person centred plans
  • An ability to contribute at both strategic and operational levels
  • An ability to lead, motivate and support our dedicated care staff teams
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and CQC registration requirements
  • A commitment to make a positive difference

This is an excellent and rewarding senior position in a long established education charity.

In return, we offer commitment to your support and development plus supportive management with a well trained and motivated staff. We also offer a variety of staff benefits including optional contributory pension scheme, high street discounts, free parking, on-site cafeteria and a Childcare Voucher scheme.
