Quality Assurance Engineers (Space, Aviation, Manufacturing)
My client, a global leader in the aerospace, space and defence industry, and based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire is seeking various Quality and Product Assurance Engineers on a contract basis. These contract opportunities vary between 6 and 12 months with the possibility of extension, working a 37 hour week. I am seeking Aerospace, spacecraft or satellite engineers with a Quality background to undertake some of the following tasks: - Responsible for all quality matters from cradle to grave, working in conjunction with the production and /or structures teams. - Overseeing quality matters during the manufacture, assembly, integration and testing phases of the products. - Liaising with design, production, project managers, end customers?. - Reviewing NCRs and chairing reviews - Carrying out planned and 'flash' audits - Implement and maintain a programme of continuous improvement - Implement and ensure corrective actions are successfully completed - Confirm that all employees have undertaken adequate training to perform their roles safely and effectively and in compliance with industry regulations Full job descriptions are available on request. Please ask Ideal candidate profiles: - Demonstrable knowledge of Aerospace production quality standards - Quality department experience assessing production competence and issuing ''stamps'' to self-certified operations personnel - Degree Qualification in a mechanical, avionics or production engineering discipline or equivalent academic qualification with experience within the Aerospace, Military or Space industries - Facilitation skills - Report writing skills - Analytical approach - Lean, continuous improvement, Six Sigma, Kaisen, Green/Black belt, etc. qualifications would be useful - Able to obtain UK SC Clearance (If you have not held SC clearance in the past 12 months, the client will sponsor your application).
