Contact: Gemma Le-Surf - Our client who are based in Hertfordshire and are an International Manufacturing concern, are recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader in the Dunstable, Luton, Stevenage, Hitchin, Royston, Cambridge area. The purpose of the Maintenance Team Leader role is to provide leadership to a team of multi-disciplined & multi-skilled engineering technicians to ensure operational needs are met through the effective allocation of resources and work prioritisation. The role is responsible for ensuring safety and quality standards are adhered to, the safety of the team, and to drive a proactive EHS culture, and to promote the use of Lean methodologies within the engineering teams. Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Team Leader based in Dunstable, Luton, Stevenage, Hitchin, Royston, Cambridge area, are: - To comply with all Environmental, Health and Safety procedures, including the use of PPE, safe working and incident reporting. - Ensure full utilisation of team and co-ordination of resource and skills within team to meet operational engineering and maintenance needs. - Liaise with Production to reduce downtime of the plant by timely response and feed-back of issues and subsequent co-ordination of resource available to you. - Actively participate in company communications including Toolbox Talks, Safety Flashes, Emails, monthly business updates. - Ensure contractors and your own team are performing to JM standards and performance requirements in your area of remit, escalating any issues as necessary and issuing permits to work in line with JM standards. - Co-ordinate and participate in activities such as 5S, CES, Root Cause Problem Solving and Standard Work to include empowerment of team members to carry out regular RCA and CES investigations. The successful Maintenance Team Leader will have the following attributes: Multi skilled Maintenance Engineer Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a team in a maintenance environment is essential, with a formal qualification in Engineering such as ONC/HNC or equivalent recognised training. The successful applicant will need to demonstrate their ability to work as part of a team, as well as being self-motivated, and able to use their initiative. You will also need the ability to analyse and interpret data. You will be required to work a rotating 12/7 shift pattern.
