We have a brand new position for a talented Support Engineer / Service Engineer who has a background in supporting complex high technology products in the field. This position will require extensive international travel. The main office is in Cambridge but this role is home based so applicatns can live anywhere in the UK. Ideally you will have acted as a Support Engineer / Field service engineer with experience of supporting, installing and maintenance of complex electro mechanical products such as special purpose machinery / semiconductor equipment / scientific instruments, etc.

Responsibilities of Field Service Engineer

As a International Field Service Engineer you will be part of the support team who are the primary and first point of contact for all service, installing and commissioning of an array of product types and derivatives. Support will then either be directly given through to completion or actions coordinated where additional support and skills are required.

* Field service support / installation and interaction
* Technical support / coordinator
* Production Support
* Service Lead and Representation for NPI


The candidate should have proven international Field Service Engineer experience and be ambitious, independent, exhibit strong leadership skills and enjoy problem-solving. The technologies utilized are diverse so the ideal candidate should have a broad experience on complex instruments / Special purpose machinery

Qualifications and Experience required:
* City & Guilds, BTEC in engineering or manufacturing field or equivalent qualification/ experience
* HND or Degree in relevant subject is desirable
* High level of relevant product and service experience to include; vacuum systems, pneumatics, gas systems, automation an advantage
* Previous experience working as an International field service engineer
* Understanding of engineering drawings and principles
* Microsoft Office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Location: Office is based in Cambridge but this is a homebased role and open to any location of the UK

Salary: GBP38k - GBP45k + Expenses + Travel Allowance + Bens
