Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Compliance Manager is responsible for implementing a strategy that promotes the organisations compliance throughout the business, ensuring the Groups' FCA regulatory requirements are met

The Senior Compliance Manager will:

- Ensure regulatory risks to company activities are identified, measured, monitored and controlled
- Lead the development of best practices in compliance control by ensuring that a comprehensive suite of compliance documentation is in place and maintained
- Ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice and guidance on regulatory issues, business standards, policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and dissemination of best practices
- Ensure appropriate responses to all matters raised and coordinate the resolution of any regulatory incidents/breaches arising promptly, ensuring management are informed as appropriate and areas of weakness are promptly and appropriately rectified
- Pro-actively participate in change programmes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and enabling the business to achieve its strategic and commercial objectives
- Monitor regulatory developments, identify and communicate relevant areas to management and ensure required changes are made to company policies, processes and behaviours
- Prepare and ensure the timely fulfilment/submission of compliance reports to senior management, the Board and the Regulator
- Lead the development of second line financial crime activity within the organisation

The Desired Applicant:

The Senior Compliance Manager will:

- Be educated to A Level standard with experience in an FCA financial services compliance role
- Have knowledge of the FCA Handbook and its application
- Possess knowledge and understanding and practical experience of consumer credit activities
- Demonstrate proven effective management and leadership skills
- Be up to date with market trends and changes impacting financial services firms
- Demonstrate practical experience of TCF outcomes
- Have produced and contributed to the development of MI and draft reports
- Have proven success in risk-based monitoring or audit in a regulated environment
- Possess financial Crime and Data protection / Information Security knowledge, understanding and practical experience
