St Albans is a unique English Cathedral City with a colourful history, which can be seen in the Roman remains and variety of beautiful architecture, heritage sites and conservation areas. Set within green belt, off the M25, A1M and M1, the District includes a cathedral, historic city centre and charming villages. Our refurbished offices are in the city centre near to the station (London St Pancras 20 minutes), shops and restaurants. In short, it is a great place to live and work .

We are looking for an experienced and talented Marketing Manager to join our Museum Service here in St Albans. You will be developing and delivering ambitious marketing campaigns that will promote our highly regarded Verulamium Museum and brand new state-of-the-art Gallery venue. You will be taking the lead on promoting our brand, using both traditional and digital methods to plan, optimise and deliver our campaigns to raise our profile, our visitor numbers and generate revenue.

Educated to degree level, or equivalent, and with relevant experience of running successful marketing campaigns, you will have a strong commercial nous and a results-driven mind set. This will enable you to skilfully analyse customer data to effectively target relevant audiences. You will also be experienced at predicting and evidencing the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Previous experience of working in a Museum or Gallery setting would be of interest, but not essential.

We offer a competitive package, which also includes up to 28 days annual leave, pension scheme, reimbursement of professional fees, comprehensive management development and training, flexible working options (including homeworking), leisure and travel discounts, and a number of other benefits that are available.
