A key member of the Finance team, providing functional, systems, administrative & accounting support to the department. Based in Euston. Reporting to Financial Accounting Manager.

Duties include:

Management Reporting
* Assist in producing / delivering Management Information (actual, budgeted and forecast data) for Total UK Activities
* Assist in creating regular periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) reports locally and externally to agreed deadlines
* Inputting P&L figures into in-house systems and reconciliation of data to ensure accurate consolidation
* Assist in formulating the Long Term Plan and Working Capital report on a yearly /quarterly basis for Directors
* Keeping a high degree of contact with relevant Total colleagues to ensure information is obtained and analysed in a timely and accurate manner
* Ad-hoc analysis / project work to improve our understanding of the business and the financial results

Financial Reporting
* To assist in the statutory accounts process, to provide relevant data analysis and reconciliation of trial balance amounts. Liaising with external auditors, group colleagues and internal business units Managers.
* Assist in Monthly General Ledger Maintenance/Results Production. Manage month end processes, including journal processing, SAP access, verification of general ledger balances, enabling the business to see an accurate result at month end
* Assist in the quarterly reporting process to head office on all Balance Sheet & Income Statement items using our defined reporting tool

Other tasks
* Manage Government Reporting. Prepare Government reporting requirements to allow Government to forecast accurately on the basis of the information we provide.
* Manage Head Office purchasing, and invoicing function
* Provide cover for other finance team members (in Treasury and Credit) to enable the Finance function to operate efficiently in times of absences
* Graduate with 1 / 2 years experience
* Educated up to degree level with a 2:1 or 1st Class degree with a Finance background
* IT Literate particularly in Excel (Pivot tables, Vlookup) and Powerpoint
* Ability to speak French highly desirable
* Aiming to obtain CIMA/ACA or ACCA qualification (study support offered)
