The company are offering a salary of GBP30k-GBP35k, with great benefits including Life Cover, Health Insurance, Childcare Vouchers and 3% contribution to pension!

You will be entrusted with the administrative duties, maintaining records, and performing secretariat duties, for valued membership and charity clients.

Excellent meeting planning and management skills are required together with the ability to handle both planned and ad hoc work. Working as part of a small team, you will be expected to be able to work on your own initiative and to liaise directly with clients and third party suppliers. The ability to plan your own workload effectively and deliver to deadlines under time pressure is essential.

Due to the nature of the work, we are looking for someone to be based at the St Albans office, with flexibility to attend early evening client committee meetings in central London and occasional full day meetings in other cities in the UK. We have an agreed lieu time policy for these extra hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meeting planning and management (including attendance/minute taking)
  • Providing effective support to a board (including managing all aspects of compliance with clients)
  • Client/customer service experience
  • Project and contract management skills
  • Excellent office administration skills gained from a client focused environment
  • Working under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Responding to ad hoc requests for information from clients
  • Handling ad-hoc projects as they arise

Person Specific:


  • Experience of meeting planning and management
  • Experience of working in a client services environment with direct client contact
  • Demonstrate experience of delivering to deadlines under time pressure
  • Excellent office administration skills gained from a client focused environment


  • Experience of working with membership organisations or charity
  • Effective support to a board
  • Contract management experience
  • Demonstrable ability of project management

Please note the client is flexible on the hours worked per day (but must be a 4 or 5 day role), for the right candidate.

Full time standard hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm (Monday to Friday, one hour lunch)
